Military Model Display and Competition

Armistice in Cambridge is an annual event that is growing every year, featuring new and exciting events for the visitors to enjoy. In 2008 we successfully introduced a model competition where amateur to expert modellers could display their models with the possibility of being crowned the best Armistice in Cambridge winner for the year. All models are judged by the people who attend the event.

There are three categories in the competition, Air, Land and Sea each having a first, second and third place winner. All winners will be presented with a prize sponsored by the Frankton Model Shop

The first place winner of a category will also be presented with the appropriate floating trophy that can be displayed at home for a year before it is again up for grabs at the next year’s competition.

So if you are interested to join in the fun of the model competition, please contact Rob Pinfold on 07 823-2255 after hours. It does not matter how good you are, bring your models along where anything can happen. Please bear in mind that as Armistice in Cambridge bears a military theme, only military models qualify for entry.

This Year the Armistice in Cambridge Competition prizes are Proudly Sponsored By:

Modellers from all around submitted their scale model aircraft, ships, submarines, tanks and military vehicles and dioramas to the competition while members of the public were invited to view these fantastic works of art and also to vote on their favourites in a popular vote competition. The voters did not know who made the models, they simply picked their favourite in each category, wrote down their assigned numbers and submitted the vote.

The results were fantastic with a huge array of terrific models. The winners in the popular vote were as follows:
